We made it home ok had a great time and glad things turned out likr they did could have been worse. It was super hot we stopped every 50 miles or so to hydrate and in Rusk asked the guy the temp and

it was 103 have no clue about the heat index.

That's why I didn't go on the ride with you guys.  Would have liked too but........... it's too hot after mid day to ride lately.  Like holding a hair dryer in your face for hours. Not fun for me.  This time of year I'll leave at 6:00 AM and get back before noon so it's tolerable.

Who says you have to sit at home and do nothing??????
I ride 3-4 times a week.......I just make a point of getting home before noon.
IMHO.........A "hot day of riding" is just that, a "hot day of riding" which to me is a pain in Cranberries and no fun......... weather your hydrated or not. Riding in 100 degree heat is like having a hair dryer in your face all day.   :ohwow:   These days I don't like riding motorcycles so much as to be miserable on them.  Besides....... riding when your exhausted from sweating all day, can impair your judgement.  That's not a good thing on a bike.  I've seen it happen to others and to myself.  Maybe I'm just more sensitive to heat than others.  I know it's gotten worse as I've gotten older.  Just don't have the tolerance for it anymore like I use to.  I remember dirt bike racing hair scrambles and enduros in the heat.  At the end of the race you literally fall off the bike and your delirious.  :hurl:

I think ya'll were in a speedwarp and went into a wormhole and could not be seen. When I passed him I was doing at least 75 and the speed limit might have been 55  slowed down a bit to let him catch up thinking well this is it gonna get a ticket but he never did gess he went the other way.The last 5 times I have been pulled over got a pass so figured this time would be the unlucky time but lucked out again lol.
