How bout we all meet up on the Court House steps at 3 ? If you've been there you'll know this is a central place . Jeffersons not too big and this is right there in the middle of downtown right across from Aunti Skinners where a good amount of bikes will be.

I'm not going to be in the parade.

If we leave Athens by about 9:00 or 9:30 a.m. We'll easily be in Gilmer by about 11:00 a.m. or so and can meet the folks in Gilmer. I think that the post by SiC was suggestion for anyone going to meet up at 3:00 p.m., (in case someone's late or is coming from a different direction).

There's definitely going to be a crowd.

Lynn and I aren't going to N.O. for Mardi Gras this weekend.  Work is a Buck Rogers this week so, it doesn't make sense to leave Friday after work to get into Baton Rouge late Friday night then party in N.O. Sat. then leave to come back on Sunday with a bad headache so I can put in a big set of programming changes on Monday.

We're thinking of going to Jefferson.

Well this ain't no sob story   but my truck broke down on the way home last night and I had to wait for a wrecker almost 3 hours and had to have it hauled to the Ford ( I know, here comes the Chevy jokes) stealer for a, just guessing, new diesel fuel pump. It was dumping fuel like crazy in that area, so   Gotta see what that's goina set me back before I can know if the spare moola is around to make the trip now. Keep yawl posted

Well looks like i'm out of this one.  Bike wouldn't crank around 4 pm. Jumped the battery and rode about 20 miles , killed it and cranked it , cranked again at 5. By 9 PM it was dead as a door nail....... Thought about taking the truck but with the gas money i would spend getting there and back i can pay for a new battery.

Sorry to hear Hoot, Sic. I think a good plan would be to meet at the courthouse on the hour, instead of having to wait till three. Soooo any X riders, I'll try to make the courthouse every hour, even up. See ya there.

Went to Jefferson today and met Hobo in Gilmer and rode into Jefferson to the Mradi Gras with him. Met up with Fossil in Jefferson and hung out with him and Hobo for most of the afternoon at Auntie Skinners. Snake showed up about 20 minutes before I left to go back home. Little bit windy but made it home in one piece. Had a good day!! Thanks yall and will have to do it again soon!!
