windshield cleaning
« on: June 24, 2007, 10:06:13 PM »

:) Most everyone already knows, but I forgot, we rode for six days, rain everyday, but did not clean the windshield everyday........I have spent the better part of two days cleaning, and the windshield was the toughest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I think if I had cleaned the windshield properly each day I would not have this much work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a product called "Show Bike" it's the best I have ever seen. The guys I rode up to the Hoot with was pretty impressed with it. Takes just seconds to clean the windshield, bugs and all. You can actually use it on your whole bike. It works great! If you want to find out how to get some PM me and I will send info.

Welcome back! I hope you had as much fun as I did!

That's not what I'm talking about. It may be a good product, but it's not the same as what I use.

I just figured out why. The product I use is called Show Time. Sorry guys my bad.

Before I forget it works best when used with the micr-fibre rags. You can buy those at Wally World.

or

http://www.lazyhog.com/  Awesome stuff, I gotta say.  Carry a can on the trip, bugs stick to it less than without.  Better deal than the previous link, same price includes a microfiber towel.

I have left my bike and windshield dirty for days/weeks after a ride..... ::)

When I am ready to clean my WS I just get a huge towel and soak it in Hot water, wring it out and run outside like a crazy person (no snide remarks from the Houston bunch or from the out skirts of the Houston area either) before it cools off  and lay it over the WS for a few seconds. All of the bug stuff and anything else wipes right off..

What did you have on your WS that was so hard to clean off?    :o :o

They sell some stuff at Walmart called Gorilla Spit. You put that on a clean WS and stuff won't hardly stick to it.
