Got my 2003 R at the end of July and am loving it. 4500 miles on it so far. (14k overall) Did a SS1000 two weeks ago and the bike was great.

Welcome from Itasca
What is a SS1000? You need to make trip on Oct. 22 (Sat.) to Crockett for a state wide meet and greet for lunch. Shoot down 35 W and we'll meet up and make the run. Drop me a note if you'd like to ride down.

SS1000 is the saddle sore 1000. 1000 miles in less than 24 hours. We did it all in Texas it was a charity ride for Children's Epilepsy. All in all it took 19 hours for us.

OK sounds like an Iron Butt ride. This should be a snap for ya then. Come on and meet the group!
I'll even buy you a beer, but you buy all the rest, mine too!
