I'll try to get this up in a map format, but here is the ride I have planned out.  It's about 150 miles and should take maybe 2.5-3.5 hours depending on the size of the group and how many stops we need to make.  I'm riding this today to check all roads and will make any changes necessary to make this a safe but fun ride up.

1.  Meet at Tailgator's on 242 just east of 45 around 8:30am.  KSU at 9:00am.  Address is 8000 Highway 242 Conroe, tx
2.  Head east on 242 to FM 1485
3.  Head north of FM 1485 to Highway 105
4.  Head east on Highway 105 to FM 1725
5.  Head north on FM 1725 to Highway 150
6.  Head east on Highway 150 into Coldspring and pick up 156.
7.  Take 156 to 190
8.  Take 190 to FM 980
9.  FM 980 to Highway 19
10.  Highway 19 to Loop 304 in Crockett
11.  Loop 304 to Thompson's BBQ

So who all is planning on going in this group?
I am planning to meet Jason tomorrow.  Are there any others from West Houston that what to meet up on this side and ride to Tailgator's?  I will be leaving from the Chevron/McDonald's at Clay Road and Beltway 8 at about 8:30.

Looks like our group is going to be a small one...which is cool with me.  ;D

1.  Me
2.  David
3.  Steve (cybrhick)
4.  Steve's boss - someone's brown-nosing

See y'all in the morning.  David, I e-mailed you the updated route, but don't pay attention to any u-turns that are in there.  This was my first time using MapSource, and I obviously need more time playing with it.  But you'll get the gist of the route anyway to upload to your GPS.

:banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

Unfortunately, I have to back out of the ride today.  I've lost my front brake, and I'm pretty sure it's the master cylinder piston that is shot.  I've been needing to bleed my brakes for awhile now, and since I have the speed bleeders, it literally takes me about 20 minutes total for both master cylinders.  Well, the back went fine, but when I went to do the front, I lost all pressure to the caliper.  I emptied the brake line & tore down the caliper and cleaned it really well.  I tried my old stock brake line, my old banjo bolts and even my old bleeder valves.  Nothing...zilch...nada...it has to be the master cylinder piston.

I'm tired and heading off to bed.  I hope that David can lead the way since I e-mailed him the route for his GPS.  If you want to take the straight shot, just take 45 to 19 to Loop 304 in Crockett.  Sorry that this happened...I was absolutely looking so forward to this ride...I guess that's what I get for trying to maintenance the night before.

I think I'm gonna torch my bike in the backyard tomorrow...who cares about a burn ban.  >:(

lame excuse, you still got a back one! Back in the old pan head HD days , we would take that big old front drum brake OFF!
But it was a HD, always had a break down truck follow everywhere. Sorry bout the trouble, you'll be missed.

Well, my tire didn't make it in yesterday, but I'm coming anyway. Meeting a friend in Poynor in a couple of hours and heading that way. While i hate to ride a bald tire, it's not that far and I'll be kicking myself if I don't go. See everyone there. Ride safe.
