Well the test run is in the books and a couple of mods were made and the new route is set. Also in looking at the poll results as of today Saturday is winning. I think we should wait one final day and set the date tomorrow.
The new route:
We start at Bass Pro and head north on 121 and take this over to Hwy 423 or Main St. in The Colony. There is a Racetrack gas station there. Pokins had a good idea about this as a good for the Eastern group to meet up with us and continue on. I'll post this on their 1187 page ever coutinuing post to see if we get any takers from that side of town.
Anyway we head on north on 423 to Little Elm and catch 720 west and north to 380. We turn west on 380 till we intersect 424 and go north. 424 takes us to 377 north then on to Tioga. Our first rest/ smoke break / fuel stop is here in Tioga.
After the break it's on up 377 to Hwy 922 to the west. 922 will take us across the top of Lake Ray Roberts to Forrestburg where we catch 677 north into St. Jo. We can stop there and visit Chisolm Trail Merchantile. ( bike appearal and stuff )
We leave St Jo on 2382 north to 373 west to 1956 west an into Nocona. Once again Pokins tells me that there is a good mexican food place there for lunch.  We also can use Nocona as a fuel stop. From there we take 175 south thru Montauge to 455 down thru Slidel to 1173 into Krum where we take 156 south to 114 east back to Grapevine and to Willhoites for a beer or three.
My best estimate on milage is 240 miles or so.
BTW I'm swearing Pokins to secrecy about the trip thru Flower Mound and the reason for the route change.....Damn did I take a wrong turn!
It was a fun ride anyway.

I basically did this ride today with http://www.twtex.com group...  it's pretty nice and some good roads around up there.

We'll meet at Bass Pro in the parking lot next to Whataburger in case someone needs breakfast.
KSU at 8:30. There is a gas station at Bass Pro Dr. and 121 in case anyone needs it.
We will make the pickup in The Colony at Racetrack on 423 just north of 121 at 9 am.
We will end up at Wilhoites in Grapevine for a beer or three.
Look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.
