about time 1800C on the way
« on: August 24, 2007, 10:52:35 PM »

I got a good deal I think :D :D
Will be a 13 hour ride back Sunday.
Flying up 7AM Sunday arriving 9:19 AM, get the title and be on my way by 10:30 AM.
850 mile ride :D :D
Mapquest says 13.5 hours
I'm hoping 10-11
If we have the meet Wednesday near 1960 and 249 or abouts that area will be there O0 O0

I can tell you that you will not make 850 miles on a vtx in 10-11 hours, but I like your optimism.  O0

Yeah, 10-11 isn't going to happen on any bike really unless you're haulin it.  We did the saddlesore iron butt in 16 hours and that was 1000 miles going straight out and straight back.  We took about a 2 hour lunch.

Coming back from Colorado a few years ago we did 1100 miles in 19 hours.  That was stopping for lunch and dinner.

It should be a good ride though.  Be careful. O0

well took a scenic route and put and extra 125 miles or so.
My GPS was set to miss toll roads from my last trip to Minnesota.
Took me 15 hours got in at 2 AM Monday.
Got betwen 30 and 40 MPG.
I road 1/2 the distiance in one day that took the original owner 2 years to do.
Had to rub it in his face while he cried as I road away. J/K
It was fun though The bike had 2054 miles when I picked it up and it now has 3084 miles.
Good thing it had a shield and driver backrest or I would be dead from the ride. :D :D

MRVTX would be proud.....

if you do a lot of country riding then you can get those deer whistles and mount them on your bike. They wont even look that bad, they are chrome and everything.
