You may want to check that route. Highway 87 between Gilchrist and Port Arthur has been washed out for a few years now. I also saw on the news the other morning that parts of Sea Rim Park still has not been repaired from the damage Rita (the storm that wasn't) did.

Boogie,
Let me confirm for you that Hwy 87 from High Island to Port Arthur is impassable.  Better plan on taking Hwy 124 from High Island toward Winnie/ or can peel off 124 and head for Anahuac.

I need to correct this...impassable unless you have a vehicle (4x4) that you just don't give a damn about.

Okay, thanks to all of the great information I recieved,
The Boogie Beach run has been modified, so leave the dirt bike's at home.
We won't need them.
The new route is mapped out in black.

Thank's to all who helped me locate the washed out road's.

Boogie, unfortunately I'm out of town that whole weekend - otherwise, I'd definitely go.

We started to go to Galvaston yesterday and ended up in Clear Lake, the 45 was closed for 13 miles at NASA  for road work. You may want to double check for next Saturday. If that is the case a meeting place off of hwy 3 might be better. just a suggestion.

Hope to see you next week

An alternate route .......
If your coming from Houston area, Take Hwy 3 to Dickinson
Junction of Hwy 3 and 646. Turn right on Hwy 646 go over the 45 over pass, stay in left lane. Turn left on Hwy 45 feeder and stay on the feeder until you get to the WalMart shopping center, IHOP is on the feeder in front of WalMart. We'll be behind IHOP in the parking lot.

Thanks Sherri   O0

We need input from Beaumont riders on a good place to meet for the M&G and where we can meet up.
