Intrest looked low so Saturday I'm headed to the Roadhouse Bar and Grill in Bastrop.

I've never been to the Roadhouse Bar and Grill in Bastrop.  May have to make a trip over there as well.  Can't decide if today or tomorrow though.

Next weekend is "Thunder on the Colorado" in Smithville.  May try to make that as well.

Brookster, can you make it Sunday if we get an early start and back home early?

Ron and I were leaning towards Sunday. We could meet up say 9:30 - 10:00 AM on I-10 and Westgreen Blvd, at the Wild Wings M&G location in Katy???  Unless someplace else is better situated for those coming out? I personally hate meeting in Waller.

Sunday still looks best for me. Unless something crazy happens, I will be happy to meet at
the Wild Wings. Who else is up for a ride?

Well, the ride started out decent enough with decent weather
and a nice ride but one of our riders went down in some gravel
on 3090. He is ok but the X was pretty fubar. We were able to
get the left side floor board off and bent the cruise bar so he
could ride. We got it started and rode about a quarter mile to
a home where David could get his wits back. After the medics
checked him out and the Highway Patrol ticketed him, we got
back on the road home following david to make sure he made
it without MORE incident.
I still can not believe the Patrol officer gave him a citation.
Paying a fine is still better than the alternative.

Glad to hear you and your friend made it back safely. I can't believe the HP gave him a citation!? I mean it's not like he was some kid on a crotch rocket racing around those corners! He's 65 years old for Pete's sake.

Well, glad to see other than losing some skin, he's right as rain and the X just needs a couple replacement parts.

 It seems over the years many a biker has gone down on that road with several deaths think I will avoid it for sure.Glad he will be ok and agree do not thnk he should have received a ticket.

It's not like we were going 120 or anything like that. We were having a nice cruise
and he just happened to get grabbed by the gravel. The officer said that the accident
put the gravel in the road not the other way around. I do not agree.

Man, sorry to hear about the rider going down...you said it was an X...was it one of the forum members?
