If you would like to take a short lunch ride on Sunday come join us. We are heading up to Pie In the Sky in Conroe for lunch on Sunday. Starting off in the Deer Park area, meeting up with some riders in the Galleria area and then meeting up with some more riders in Spring off of 2920 and Rhodes Rd. It will then be a 30 mile backroad trip to Conroe for lunch. The weather promises to be clear but very nippley (hence the short ride, lol). Let me know if you are interested and I will give you meet up details.

Interesting word, nippley.... I would love to join. I will check with the boss and see if it is ok.

Backroads back southward is the plan, but nothing long cause I am a wimp...want to get back to my warm Deer Park apt before the sun starts thinking of setting and therefore letting that cold artic air creep into my bones.

Hmmm sounds good, either this or the toys for tots run, its a toss up. :-\

Yes...tell her that she needs to ride along, the "gotta do's" will be there next week! Mine never went away after all these months! :-\ Hope to see you two in Conroe!! O0

Not going to be able to make it, we got a big project a the office that they cant do with out me....
But I will be riding the bike to work :)

You mean to tell me you are gonna ride all the way to conroe and not go up throught the national forest? Bummer. If ya change your mind, I'm in.
Watch out for the po-po on Honea Eygpt. They've been watching that road a lot lately.

Unfortunately we don't have time to go thru the forest...a couple of us have to be back early in the afternoon. Have been thru it before and it is beautiful for sure.
We are going to be stopping at the Whataburger on the corner of 18th St and 610 West Loop at 9:45 to meet up with anyone from the south/west part of Houston. We will then be stopping at the Valero on the corner of FM2920 and Rhodes Rd at 10:45 to get gas and join up with Spring people. We plan on being at the Pie in the Sky at noon.

It was a great time! Great ride, even the "oops...it's gravel"! I think Lucky was testing me today!! Did I pass? ::) But it really was super fun, great lunch, great pie (peach and pecan, yum) and great friends! Must do again soon! O0
OH...P.S. We missed you, Mar...get well soon!

Hey Bryce, was that you heading to work Saturday morning on your bike? Or did you get some fun riding in this weekend after all? We were behind you on Center and tried to catch up to you, but d@mn man you were hoofing it. ;D ;D ;D Actually the lights held us back some too :)

I did take the bike to work both sat and sun, but i didn't go down center street, waaaaay to many lights. As for "hoofing it" I plead the 5th.
It was killing me both days, to be siting in the office and the right out the front door, was my bike.... just sitting there.... both saturday and sunday were very NICE days! But the only riding i got to do was 9am to the office, and 11pm back home.

Looks like ya'll had FUN..........Jim came home stuffed....LOL
I can't get rid of this hacking cough. It's driving me crazy. Have gone to the doc and got meds and still can't shake it. I can't have fun worrying about coughing on someone...........:(

I think we all felt like "stuffed souls" when we left there, with the exception of Larry...he was the smart one! But we couldn't entice Jim into having a bite of one of the pies...his will power was far better than mine!!
Have you tried the good old home remedy...hot tea with lemon and lots of honey...towel over the head with steam, Vicks? That bug is nasty and takes a long time to get rid of. :-\ This weather doesn't help matters...cold one day, hot the next! Get well by the holidays...not good to be feeling yucky at that time of year! ;)

Get better soon, my doc said he would not give me any meds viral --- just have to ride it out, been two weeks and just starting to feel human again. :(

2 months for me.
Scare to go anywhere. Like Carol said hot, then cold, hot, then cold. Dress for cold then it gets hot......weird weather.
Thanksgiving wasn't too much fun either........

If it is that flu that digs in and takes up home in your chest... yeah, had that bugger my self about 4 months ago... took almost 2 months to recover from the almost constant cough and... other related stuff.
