Flipflop, Old School Mike and I went for a ride today. From Livingston to Trinity to Austonio to Madisonville to Huntville and back to Livingston. It was a beautiful day. It was pretty cold early this morning. Around 10 AM, the temperature was perfect. Not too cold, not too warm. We had a great ride. We stopped at the Pit Stop Biker Gear Shop in Austonio to visit Jim and Rosie. Very nice folks. I like to stop when I'm going through the area just to say high and get a cold bottle of water. We had lunch at the Exxon station across the street from Buccee's in Madisonville. Great BBQ at a very reasonable price. A great ride with friends on very nice sunny day.

nice report. Didn't know there was a gear shop out there. I always seem to ride west. Gonna have to give the east a shot.

It's at the intersection of FM 1280 and Hwy 21. There is some type of historical monument in the front. Austonio isn't that big. I think it's like 14 miles west of Crockett on the north side of the intersection. I travel 1280 to 3151 to 230 to Trinity. Nice ride. I live in Livingston head up that way around once a month hitting the back roads.

I've shopped and purchased from Jim and Rosie and both are excellent people. It's a pretty nice ride out that way.
