I talked to the ladies this morning and they are always at the Whitehouse location.
I am good with either location, what ever works best for the group ;D I can make it the weekend of Aug 31 or the following weekend after that I am back to Seattle. :(
So which location and which weekend works best for everyone ??? ??? :bikerider:
-
I am up for the 31st or the 7th. Don't matter to me!! :idontknow:
Drew
-
I can make the later date but cannot over the Labor Day weekend. Besides, I do not like to travel on Holidays, too much traffic.

He does make a good point. Is the 7th up for discussion?
-
Will be out of town both weekends. ::)
-
damn, wont be able to do this.
-
We can't do 7th or 14th - Gumbo when are you back around? Any chance 9/21 works?

Heck the only reason I was going is to see the best lookin gal in Texas and U won't be there :( Oh and that big ole guy that's always around you ;D ;D
My only options are the 31st of Sept and Aug 7th --- :cuss: :cuss: dang job
-
I'm in for 9/31.. Hopefully cooler by then..maybe
-
Seeing as the two locations are about 6.5 miles apart, I think I'd prefer the original Whitehouse location. The smokehouse locations in Tyler and Longview also have the pies but they are cooked fresh in Whitehouse. However, ...I'll go anywhere you guys want to go. :lunch: :lunch: :lunch:
I'm in for anytime up to mid/late September.
-

It's Aug 31. There is no Sept 31.
-
Whitehouse is 28 miles from my house outside of Lindale. If I'm in town, I'll ride down and say "howdy".
-
I'll be out of town the 31st. I'll have to try and catch the next one.
-
So we looking Sept 28th then?
Mark
-
September 28'th looks good to me...
-
Y'all make a date whenever y'all can, don't worry about us! I ride, when I want to ride! :bikerider:
-
I could do that...
-
09/28/2013 is clear in my book as well! :lunch: :bikerider:
-
I'll be back in Seattle the 28th, be sure and tell my ladies I said hey :good:
-

It will be the weekend, ride down and join us! Its only Seattle, cant be that far away!
-

Gumbo, there is no reason why you can't head up a ride on 8/31 to Maw Maw's and then another ride can happen on 9/28. :goldwing:
-
I will come and meet ya Gumbo for lunch!! ;D

I will go twice.

You forgot you're in Texas. We don't cool down until right before the LSR...in early November. I'll keep an eye out and see what y'all finally decide and then go from there.

Gary, sorry to hear about this. Prayers for you and the family. I'm assuming he was not your brother by the way you worded it.
I'm planning on being there...I need a nice, long leisurely ride through the woods to Maw Maw's house! ;D Probably get up really early and take the long way around.

Okay, I've come up with a tentative route, which will take us through two national forests and around/over Lake Livingston. It is about a 200-mile/4 hour ride (plus time for gas/rest stops), so we can figure out meet up times in Conroe and go from there. How early would y'all like to get on the road?
Tell me what you think of this route...shouldn't be any hidden surprises like dirt roads, sheep/donkeys/cows appearing out of nowhere, etc. :couch:

With the way you started the route how about everyone meet at my house. Airport road is like a half a mile away.
991 Arbor Crossing
Conroe Texas 77303
You pick a time and let me know.
As long as there is no rain in the forecast I'm good. ;-)

Strandedtexan do you have a route mapped yet? Can you give me a call so we can set up a starting point? Maybe we can hook up with Chad and his band of Merry Men?

Great morning ride :bikerider: The ride home was Not as good :what:
Post pics later need to hydrate :c
-
It was great to see everyone.
The ride home was a killer.
-
Man, it was great to see old and new faces, and to finally get in a nice long ride. I logged in at 400+ miles for the day, but the last 200 was definitely brutal. But the pies were still worth the ride. And I actually lost a pound from this morning's weigh in. ;D. That's a lot of sweat.
-
Man I want to thank you guys for setting this up....great to see everyone again and Jason was a bonus even if we didn't get to catch up much. So I took off with Wahoo, Nasty Jim and StrandedTexan when Chad and his crew took off. Man they can sure fly!!! This old guy and his bike just aren't up to flying at the speed of sound. Funny the last I saw them they were headed due west. I took the turn off onto HWY 19 towards Emory (which btw was where I was going to meet up with Chad this morning). Great scenery and well worth the detour. I stopped at the gas station (think there was ONLY 1) and go into the store to get some water and soak my vest again, guess who I see pull up at the pump? Yep Chad and the Misses!!! After saying our goodbyes I headed due west on the blacktop and you will not believe what I saw in one of the driveways just outside of Greenville? Pics are below. All in all an aswome day....

I agree the ride home was rough ,we hit a spot where the temp was 95 , I hate to say it but that felt good compared to 99 and 100.

So I need something thats bigger an faster, like a 111 Cubic Inch ThunderStroke powered Indian with 6 speeds, kinda like the one I'm sitting on in my sig pic?

Hate it that I missed the ride, I did ride to DFW and back yesterday, Interstate all the way. That sucked. You all had more fun than me. :cuss: :banghead: Hope to see you all soon.

Actually, even with Indian's new motor, the specs are almost identical with the 2002 1800 motor. It might come down to the riders in that race. But with a 2300cc triple, I know who wins that race every time!
-
Wish i could have made this one. Wife wasn't feeling well, had to take care of her. But hope to make the next one.
-
Those danged pies are awesome! Bacon, egg and gravy...MMmmmMM! It was great to meet/see everyone again. Deana is still gushing. The ride home sucked, but the ride up was very nice. My newbie buddy that could not make it had a look on his face like I stole his ice cream when I told the tale! HA! Good stuff!
-
Great to see everyone, sorry if I missed some during introductions. Pies were excellent, the ride was fun. I left there and rode to Shreveport before heading home, got pretty warm by the time I rolled into Louisiana, LOL. Last time I headed to Shreveport a week ago for a starship concert, I had a flat on the rear, so this was a much better trip!

Sorry I missed it guys. Looked like a really good turn out. I was actually on my way back from the hill country. I took the bike with me, but didn't do much riding. just needed some R & R this go round. Will try the next one.
-
I will not be making that ride again in August. I was not sure if we were going to make it home. It was way too hot for that ride home straight into the sun. We may try to make the one in September if it is much, much cooler...

I am with you buddy, no more August rides for me unless it is to the store for beer. :t
