Hey all, just traded for a 2006 VTX 1800C. Been in the Sport Bike world for years and decided to join the friendlier community. I am in the lake Texoma Area and looking to see if there is anyone in the area with HK Sidewinder Exhaust that I may hear in person. Would be interested in group rides if there are others in this area interested. Happy to be here and looking forward to many great miles ahead.

Glad you came by!! Welcome!!

Welcome to the X crew.
Had the Hard Krome Sideburner exhaust on one of my 1800s .
Will say if you want a exhaust that will get you some attention that is
the one to have.

Welcome....A few of us were looking into a ride into OK...once the tornados and hail subside a bit! Ride safe and maybe we can do a ride...maybe meet up in Denison or Sherman..

What? You don't ride in tornados? Fair weather rider!!!!

Appreciate the welcomes guys. Sherman or Denison would be good I can meet you in either. Currently looking into purchasing a new 2-up seat, the seat that came with the bike is comfortable for me but not so much for the wife. Looking into the Mustang Sport Touring and a sissy bar, wife claims the torque is a little much compared to the high RPMs of my GSXR 750. Hope to see you guys on the roads. :bikerider:

Just put the X on the VTX and wife agrees with Rocket67's wife...and yeah..fair weather rider...but I do have rain gear. Not that we have needed it much lately.

Me too...don't like getting the bike wet.

I never was a fan of riding in the rain. Not sure if cruiser riding is safer than sport in water, but I had to sit up on the tank at times on my GSXR.

I don't even like driving a car in the rain. With all the pollution in Houston and crap dripping off of cars the roads get really slick with a light rainfall. I have seen bikes go down before due to rain and not about to go test out the theory on my bike.
-
I can completely understand that. I don't want my bike getting wet unless I am giving her a bath.

Welcome to the club, we have some riders up your neck of the woods and we do get up Texoma way occasionally. I'm in Denton area (Highland Village), Bobcat Biker is in Trophy Club, Whoo an her other half are in Justin area Murray is up your way.
Steve its time to get a ride together soon. I have the 30th booked for an Indian Dealership Grand Opening commitment, but open weekend after this one.

The wife and I would love to join y'all in a ride. Still getting used to the different riding style. I am used to being tucked and go, although I am really enjoying the laid back and enjoy the sun and view style.

Son rides a liter bike, but on longer rides prefers a more laid back bike.
