What's up with the avatars not showing?

Was just wondering what's up with everyone's avatars (including mine), not being seen? Is it a server problem since the board has changed again? I use to be able to see my avatar and everyone else's. I tried to upload mine but to know avail  :'( :'( :'(  This is the error message I get when I try and upload my avatar: An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

I see your smilie dude on a motorcycle just fine. Lots of avatars were gone this AM, including mine. I had to use photobucket for it now - it wn't let me use the one from my desktop folder. Anyway - you're avatar is there - why YOU can't see it? Who knows. Get some glasses or clean your computer screen or something.  ;D

OMG...LOL...no I can't see it...and I already wear trifocals...LOL!!!!  ;D ;D ;D And I can't see your avatar either!!!!  :o :o :o

I think there was a glitch earlier today that seems to have been fixed... except mine!  I'm getting this message when I try to reload my avatar from my harddrive. (which worked fine yesterday):


An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved. 

When I load it thru a URL it distorts like this.  (The original is an oval, not a circle.)

Well I can see a few avatars now....but mine still won't post....and I still keep getting the same error message that was in my first post. Oh well!!!!

Reloaded mine like 8 times...still get:

An Error Has Occurred!

So..it has to be the server or settings.
