11-29 M&G
« on: November 27, 2006, 09:33:17 AM »

OK, here it is Monday, and I thought I'd try to get the process started for this week before the day of the M&G.  Which side is due for "their turn"?  Location?

Based on the previous weeks' posts (west, north, south), does that make it due for the east or even central?  Please advise.....

I know an awesome BBQ place or possibly Iguana Joes (Mexican food)??????????????? Just a thought. Both places are near 146 @ I-10.

Yes-Tony's BBQ is what I was refering to. You said it all. Great food at reasonable price and plenty to fill you up. For those that it matters they do not serve alcohol. That would be a short ride away at the Pelican. Let me know and I'll call Tony's.

Guys, why'n'cha hold that one for a week. It's going to be raining Wednesday. Nobody's going to show. Lets have a good-weather eastside meet, so all the strangers can make it. I keep hearing about Crusty Bill, Tinman, MauMau, Bclear, and a bunch of others who never get to make the meet'n eats. If we hold it in good weather, I'll get to see if they are really real.

i know the weather makes a difference, but i dont think it makes that big of one.  last week was great weather and only 5 of us showed....  plus, we cant skip the eastside and say that since the weather is bad we'll have it someone elses side of town so it doesnt matter if no one shows up....  know what i mean?  if not that many people show, then the next time its eastsides turn, we;ll have it there again....

I like Jim's idea, mainly because I work this week and next week a far m&g is good for me.  Either way I will try to make it where ever it may be. :)

I think the weather does make a difference. I can't say much because I've only made 1 M&G in Pasadena 3 weeks ago. Having one near myself will be nice but if it's this or next week doesn't matter. Let me know so I can notify Tony's BBQ to reserve a section. We can do it this week and next week for all that matter. I've been craving one of those monster chopped beef baked potatoes loaded to the max. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!  :P

I can honestly say I've tried just about everything they serve and never been disappointed. I forgot to mention I don't get off work til 5:30 which won't give me allot of time tomorrow to contact them. Unfortunately I don't have access to a computer during the day so I won't be able to respond to any post. I am going to plan on eating there anyway so maybe some members will show up. Tony's is located about a half mile North of I-10 on Hwy 146 (Mont Belvieu). Me and my wife will be there around 6:30.
