Hey gang,

After mentioning this Unofficial M&G to Brock and some of you others at Wild Wings M&G, I'm updating the original post. This Meet & Greet in Sugar Land will not replace the Wednesday Meet & Greet, but be an additional chance for us to gather for a street party celebrating Fat Tuesday!!

A friend of mine who owns the Rouxpour Restaurant and Bar in Sugar Land's Town Square, http://www.therouxpour.com/, is throwing a Fat Tuesday block party for March 8. His Restaurant is in a row with with additional restaurants and around the corner from even more choices to eat and drink. If you haven't been to Sugar land's Town Square it's two big blocks of Bars and restaurants and shops, with the Town Hall sitting smack dab in the middle of it all.

They are closing off the short bit of street in front of his place and the others in line. There will be a band stage in the street with "Luther and the Healers" at night.

And the restaurants participating will have curb side bar sets up in front of their respective places, all celebrating Fat Tuesday.

Map location to his corner of Town Square. ( across the street from BJ Brewhouse ) There is lots of parking in the parking decks, but I always park my bike along the side of the entrance to the parking deck nearest The Rouxpour Restaurant. There is street parking too if you can find it in the Square.

The Rouxpour, being a New Orleans style of restaurant, will be having a crawfish boil as well as their regular menu.

Next door to Rouxpour is a Cigar store, Martini's Olive Bar, The Loggia (a stuffy sports bar), and Escalados Mexican on the opposite corner.

Okay that was some fun! Great party atmosphere, great band and music.

I was watching for ya Larry. I was seated at one of the tables near the band stage with three girls from work. Didn't see ya.

Yeah, we have a site in the Formosa plant (who employs almost everyone in the area) that we've had for 12 or 13 years now.
