South of Houston M & G
« on: October 24, 2007, 04:39:07 PM »

I hope this doesn't offed any of our X Riders in Houston.  I am proposing M & G's for those of us who live south of Houston only because we just can't make it that far north during a weekday.   :-\  Any thoughts??????

We've had TONS of meets on the southside and I was the only one who would show up. :-\

If people would get out it's not a prob.

ahhh.. no. Because most people live in the north side of town. Northerners don't like to drive down South because of traffic and visa versa....

Or food was delivered to slow so they left or construction, don't like menu. Same thing we say but doesn't work for us Southsiders... ;D ;D

I believe you were told by someone who was misinformed or more likely, it was someone being sarcastic. It’s just not cool to name the place and then not show.

I have never seen where only certain people could name the meet and greet. I know Gabe took over for awhile naming the places, but that was because no one would ever come up with anything. Usually when people named a new place it would be nice to go to somewhere new.

northsiders always showed up to the southside meets.  i know i drove through a lot of rain to get way down there quite a few times.  other than brock, and when larry used to come, the southside meets were always the regular crew from up north + brock.  unfortunately thanks to a broke ankle, i cant make any of em.  and by the time i can ride again, ill be back in school and that doesnt get out till after 8pm.

I live in Clear Lake, but work in the Galleria area. I have not made a M & G in a while for many different reasons, none relate to the distance or restaurant. I think my travels out of town and evening work is over for a while and I should be able to make more M & G's now.  8) 8) 8)

p.s. I wouldn't mind having a few more M & G's on the southside.  ;)
