I am looking for more places to ride close to home. The Loop through the Sabine National Forest looks fun. The Davey Crockett National Forest loop looks like fun too. These are rides you can do in one day. 229 goes right by my mom's neighborhood near Houston County Lake. That is a very hilly and winding road. There are old people going 70+ in old pickup trucks on that road.
The Lubbock "Double Mountain Loop" looks like a fish.
