WOW :o  The Gibb Gilchrist has been in service since I was a little kid....

Two ferries in action means about a 20-25 minute wait time depending on stand still traffic.

And, I think that all 3 we're running at that time.

20-25 minutes?  Only if your're lucky.  Been dealing with that damn thing since I was a kid.  With the new security measures they have put in place (vehicle searches at will), the process could get real ugly real fast.  Think we may decide to take 10 to 146 to 45. ;)

I didn't think about the new secutiry measures....  You are probably right about that.  I haven't been across the Bay since all that took place.  Plan accordingly.

Well, let me tell ya, it ain't nice.  Got stopped by the rent-a-cops a few weeks back.  Complete and total hassle.  When I gave the guy a dose of my "what I think of you" medicine, he called over Galveston County's finest.  Then, they really took their time.  All over prescription meds that were in the bottle, WITH my name on them.  Overall, I lost 45 minutes with them, missed 2 boats, and got a severe case of the red arse...all after waiting 1.5 hours for the opportunity to be selected for the search.  Gotta love efficiency, don't ya?
