Newbie alert
« on: April 27, 2007, 06:29:53 PM »

Phew! That was quite something. I just finished the paperwork for my VTX1800R and brought her home. I have been lurking around for a while here and I must say you guys are awesome. Very helpful and pleasant.

Something about me. I am from India. Have been here for about 5 years now. I used to ride a motorcycle back when I was in India, but nothing compared to the 1800. I will have to take it easy with this beast  :). I will have a lot of questions about the bike and hopefully y'all will help me out. In return if anyone has any questions about computers and such, let me know. I am your in-house geek  8)

Happy trails!

Thanks for the wonderful welcome! As I said, I've noticed that you guys tend to be very welcoming. This is my very first bike and I am still trying to get a handle of it. Few of my friends told me that an 1800 is too big. But if I start listening to everybody, where's the fun? You never buy a motorcycle to satisfy someone else.

Anyways, I am in Arlington and raring to go. It will be a while before I get on the highway. I need to get *real* comfortable with my bike before venturing out with other cagers :)

Peace.

WELCOME!!!    I'm just wondering though --- all the folks from India that I have dealt with over the years (and that's been a bunch of 'em), I've never had one use "y'all" when they spoke.   You've only been here 5 years and it looks like the Texas Twang has hit you pretty fast!  O0 ;)
