Seeing if my Avatar worked...

I've been out of commission for awhile. A few weeks ago I was at the B-Day for my 2 year old nephew, which was held at Monkey Bizness. Basically, it's a warehouse sectioned off for parents to rent out for kids to go crazy with a room full of Moonwalks and other stuff. We'll I had a great idea of going down this 20' slide, on my feet! Figured I would spice it up a bit. I get to the top, get myself position and the way I went. I surfed all the way down until I hit bottom. Then, since I had most of my weight on my right foot, I heard the dreadful "POP" from my right ankle. "HOLY SHITE" did it ever hurt..... So, 2 of the family members carried me out to the car and off I went to the ER. The Doc says "well, it's a 2nd degree sprain; but you would have been better off breaking it!" That's been 3 weeks ago, and I'm still having problems with it. I can walk with an Air Cast, but not for long. Its stays swelled up, I'm going back to the specialist this week. UGH! I guess that's what I get at age 33 thinking I'm 20...

I done my ankle the same way, though not the same stunt, at age 47 two years ago. Still swells and still hurts if I wear the wrong shoes. Maybe at your age you will outgrow it.

That's about right! Hey Kids, Learn what NOT to do.....
Hopefully I'll be back on the bike soon. I hate to get in a situation where I need my right foot the most and it fails on me. ugh...
