What I would like to have for option #2 is 35 commitments for $ 10.00 per head. This will cover the cost of the camp site. There are 10 camper hook-ups first paid getsum, make it 9 I'm in. We can have up to 80 on site for camping. Those that did the ride through know what is there, it's a good place. If every pays $10.00 per head the extra will go in the Texas X Riders account. We still need money in the bank so people don't have to be out of pocket to set thing up!! This is TWO days of camping for $10.00. Friday welcome day and short ride. Saturday Longer rides and some games. Sunday Las Cassas for earley lunch before heading home. WHO CAN SAY NO TO WHITE WINGS????? I know March is a long way off , but if we don't act soon the date may not be available!!!!! O0 O0 O0

Last year we did our camp out at the same time Central Texas Road Riders had their Spring Fling Rally. I can not get the camp ground for that weekend... The rally is in Gatesville a short ride up Hi 36. We camped and went to their rally ( NO PLANNING ON OUR PART ) If do our own thing we will need to do our own acctivites, if we go to their rally we can't get the camp ground. They have camping free at their rally. Tent or self contained. Turkey Roost is much better. Rest rooms, showers, BBQ pits, pavement, park rangers, pavillion, and closser to the white wings.

I think it's a good idea even if we miss the Spring Fling. There's some nice riding in that area, and it's often missed. There were just a handful of us last year, but we had a great time. O0 It's indeed a great location, fenced in, BBQ pits, asphalt streets, and parking for your bike and camper. I vote for having it any weekend we can get the Turkey Roost area. We'll make our own rally. I've want to put together some bike games like they had in Colorado, and this is a great place to try them out. O0 O0

I liked the "ring joust". Brock and I almost won! (3rd place) Damn kid beat me!! >:( Anyway... it was a pretty good game.

Came down through Lumberton the other day Dusty. Went to Beaumont with a friend to pick up her daughter. Saw a bike shop called something like "north side motorcycle shop" or some such, just off 96. Had lots of bikes out there. Do you know if he has any spare bike parts for older bikes? Like to pick up a set of carbs for my old CX 650. Didn't see it till we were almost past it...traffic was pretty bad right there.

Honda. That place was on the outskirts of Beaumont. We got off on Dowlen, and saw this place when we were going back off Dowlen onto 96. It sits just east of a gas station, can't remember which one.

The gas sta was called the Speedy Stop. If that helps. Somewhere on the east access road north of Dowlen ST.

OK, That's at HWY 105 or where 105 dead ends into 96/69/287 in Bmt. The name is NORTHEND CYCLE. They have been there a long time. Their number is 409-898-7764.
Another place that might have what you want is Leone's Cycle Shop. Woody is the guys name. He is the fellow Cowboy bought the Honda dealership from. His number is 212-1300. He has a building across from the old dealership. Don't know what all he has but I've seen a lot of old bikes around that building for years.
If you need me to run by and check on something or pick it up and ship it, just let me know.

Only nine + responses on the poll??? However we will try once more!! Reservations have been made for March 23rd and 24th. There have been 4 request for the 10 trailer hook-ups. They are me, RD, Jeremy, and Jerry. We can up to 80 people stay the nite at the Turkey Roost Group Camp Area. Other camper sites are available at Cedar Ridge Camp ground. If you want your own site away from the group call 1-877-444-6777 and make your own reservations. The cost of the Turkey Roost will be shared by those that come (up to the 80 ) the more that come the cheeper per head.. Make plans to come O0 O0 O0 If RD shows he will get his PRIZE!!!!!! Others that have shown interest are Dusty,Tolly&Robin, David (red dragon), David (forevertexan), Snake,----- get on the list! HHmmm, I just realized I'm scheduled to be in Little Rock the 19 thru the 29th of March for an explosives class. If I don't get the new job I've put in for, I'll have to be up there to get re-certified and won't be able to make the spring thing! :(

With all the new categories, labels, areas, etc. - I have a feeling that there are others who might be interested but do not know about it because they have not looked in this category. Do you think our moderators might give the "Spring Thing" it's own heading (or whatever these are called) and maybe a sticky at the top of the "General Discussion" and the local rides sections?

i'm starting to worry about you stever.
got some sort of severe infection in my right knee, docs couldn't exactly say what it was. took about 2 weeks and a bunch of antibiotics to get rid of it.

At the start of the thread there is alot of info. If you need a camper hookup you need to claim one.. the main thing is to show up..... After you read the first part of the thread if you need more info... just post..... Ride Safe

This is a campout...with some good, old fashioned BS..& some riding. We had a blast last year. I'm trying every way I can to be there, but it's not looking good.

I can't remember the roads. Give us some road numbers coming out of Temple or Belton and road names. We can google map it, do a hybrid map and see a satelite view.

Directions:
On Hwy 36, just 1.3 miles from Hwy 317, turn west on Moffet
After 0.3 miles turn left on Cedar Ridge Park Rd
Go 1.3 miles to park.
If you are coming south on 36, you can turn right on Cedar Ridge Park Road before you get to Moffet.

Just got back and Dallas' face is swollen up from the wisdom tooth - Her helmet would not have fit on her head even if she felt up to it. She says hi and wishes she could have been there.
