Just some helpful hints.  Other suggestions are gladly accepted.

-Bring some tools that are common to your make & model.
-Do you have ways to carry extra gas? if this is a concern for you, of course.
-How are your tires?  Inspect and replace if tread is too low.
-All lights working?
-Is your battery good?
-Check your fluid levels.  Change oil if needed
-Rain gear?
-Medications.
-Do/does your family/friends know where you are going to be and for how long?
-Is your insurance in force?
-Is your license in force?
-Have you been released by your doctor for any extracurricular activities?
-Do you have a place to stay for the weekend?  Good luck finding a place now but you better get on it!

We ask that your machine be in (the best of your knowledge) good working order.  Let's be considerate to one another and not bring motorcycles that are on the verge of malfunction due to brakes, tires or etc.  Remember, we most likely won't leave you but it is a huge damper on the riding mood due to negligence of maintenance.

If you are going on a guided ride.  Be ready and fueled up before the meet-up time and if the guide lead stops for fuel....that means you stop for fuel to.  Best to be safe than sorry.

I'm sure there is more that others will chime in on

We will not leave you!
Very good advice above, consider bringing air pressure gauge and check daily.
Check fluids each morning, only takes a minute!

I don't have to check oil, just add a quart every day.   :t  No water to check.

Fuel Maps loaded....check
Speedometer Calibrated....check
Bluetooth Sync'd....check
Cigars packed....check

What was that other stuff again?

Good advice on the "we ask that your machine be in good working order".  When I used to do offroading there was always someone who had a tire fall off or engine seize.  It sucks having to hold up the group because one person didn't take care of their stuff.

1.  Bring duct tape...(in case one of your running lights decides to lose a screw)
2. Lube shift linkage..(especially on an R and N model VTX)
3. Have two or 3 cell phone numbers of fellow VTX'ers handy if you are riding solo...just in case.
4.  Bungee cords, zip ties, and sunscreen..
5.  Drink plenty of water.  Beer and/or vodka comes later.
