Vanderpool Run
« on: July 13, 2013, 04:21:03 PM »

Hey guys,

"I'm planning to ride out to the motorcycle museum in Vanderpool on July 20th. If you or anyone else in the San Antonio area is available, we should meet up near 1604 and 16 fairly early to beat the heat (at least a bit) and make it a group ride."

The above was posted by a friend of mine on the "OA". I'm planning on joining the ride.  Who else wants to go!!

Wanted to see it, went the Monday after the BBT Rally. Found out he's closed Mon-Thurs. Great ride that would have been made even better if I had seen it. It excellent riding in that neck of the woods for sure. Maybe Dana or Paul and Ruthie? Please take some pictures of the Indian while your there and post them for me please?

Thanks

Definitely not gonna make it.  Gotta prep for a huge moto trip coming up the following weekend after that. I would like to visit it again next time I'm out there.

Would love to join you but I have a commitment on Saturdays for the next year. I have the painful duty of watching my 2 grandsons so my daughter can go to school. Planning on seeing it when I go down & ride "The Sisters" again. Y'all have fun now, ya hear!!!!!!

Wish I could go.  I have people coming in this weekend.  I had a deer lease in Bandera for 9 years, and love the area.  Be careful riding that area.  Bambi is everywhere.

Well its a shame that none of y'all can make it!!

However, if anyone wants to show up or changes their mind, we are meeting at the Exxon at the corner of Bandera and 1604.

Boy did y'all miss out!!  Beautiful ride up 337 to the motorcycle museum. Checked out some cool bike and took a short detour to Leakey to eat lunch at the Bent Rim Grill. Left the grill and paid 3.59 a gallon :ohwow: for gas.  Came back home via 470 through Tarpley. Nice ride all together. I will post some pics later.
