Now that the weather has cooled off and will probably not reach the likes of Corona Summer 2020 I thought about a short weekend camping (tent & the such) trip.  Most likely just hit State Parks or something.  Maybe leave Thursday Evening after work or Friday morning and come back Sunday afternoon/evening. 

Just a thought.  I haven't planned anything or even looked at routes or parks to stay at just yet but this cooler weather has got me yearning for a weekend ride.

I've wanted to do this for some time. A ride in and a campout. Maybe have a contest on the best campsite and the most minimalistic campsite. Must bring it in on the bike. No support vehicle. What ya think?

I like the idea.  I haven't done it as often as I would have liked to but the few times I have I've always enjoyed just showing up, pitching a tent, and start cooking dinner.  Whether it be it a been weenie stew or some nicely grilled  meat. 

Let's do it.

Guess everybody else has gotten to old and soft. I like motorcycle camping. You can take a trip and keep going. You don't have to come back. I did 25 days 2 years ago.

Depends on where you go.  I need to look at hiking equipment and see if they have a air conditioner that will fit in my bag.

You won't need a/c.  maybe a heater but I'm only doing it when it's going to be cool.

only when it's cool even down right chilly. A good sleeping bag, I can sleep like a baby. I have woke up to see frost inside my tent.

What about critters?  Wolves, bears, mountain lions....?

Drink some beer and pee around your tent. Keeps them away. Did that in Utah. never saw any varmits.

I need to start getting my gear ready.  I have about 90% of everything I need but I don't know what the other 10% is but what I do look forward to is cooking up some really good gourmet style steaks with fixings.
