a little miffed
« on: May 01, 2007, 10:18:45 AM »

Did you know that in Texas, May is motorcycle awareness month? I heard a spot on the radio this morning. Of course, they said nothing about being vigilant and looking extra hard for motorcyclists. Instead they said that as motorcyclists we should brush up on our skills.

I guess they're right, since the cages are going to try and run us down

Ya know how ya never notice a certain model car till ya buy one, and then ya see em all over the place? Cagers are like that. They never see us till they hit us or they buy a bike :-\ :'(  No amount of advertising is gonna change that. :-\

I just got on the DPS site and read the proclamation that Perry wrote and it was all jibberish if ya ask me...folks need to be made aware of motorcycles.  They need to teach that in driver's ed. and the defensive driving classes.  Teach awareness there and then we'll talk Perry!
