« on: February 07, 2007, 09:49:11 AM »

Taking HOOTS lead if you find a useful link to information on the 2007 Mardi Gras, post it to this thread for us to use for trip planning  I will start out with these two sources. R

Is this a different event from the one posted earlier with the motorcycle parade, etc.?  Looks to be different but maybe im just a dummy which is quite possible.

It appears now that I look at it to be two different events...the one referred to in a prior post was the one in Jefferson, Texas if I am not mistaken...again might be that I am just we todd did...please clear up for me if they are two different events.

thats very helpful as I will not be in the motorcycle parade so knowing where to park is very helpful.  Thanks Roland for the information and your efforts.

I built a "printer friendly" version of fossil's map and put it at:
http://www.westcherry.com/vtx/2007/jefferson.htm

It contains information on parking and the location of the Courthouse.

I forgot the Court House. Is this where the jail is located? Might be the first place to look if someone comes up missing.  :)

I don't know about the others, but if I come up missing I'm most likely to be at the closest "waterin' hole"... ;D ;D ;D

SiC had posted in another thread that whoever goes to Jefferson could possibly meet at the courthouse at 3:00, so I put it on the map.

Man ya'll are some planning suckers.......i always just show up and see what happens ;D   If you want to see Jefferson
packed wall to wall with bikes then be sure to make it to the 10th Annual Boo Rally there in October. Draws about 7-10 thousand . Check the link for info on it and a ton of pictures..

The map of the parade route has been amended. The corrected map can be found in the same place as the last one I posted at:
http://www.westcherry.com/vtx/2007/jefferson.htm

fossil has also provided us with a printable version of the schedule. I converted it to Adobe Acrobat format and included it on the page.

Thanks fossil, that could come in handy. :)
