Old Newbie with a question?
« on: May 21, 2006, 11:45:48 AM »

Almost time to buy another bike and get back to riding. Which should I buy a C or a F model X? Which pipes also?

Thanks,

Doug

1800 F with Vance & Hines Big Shots!  People think it is a custom bike all the time.  Constant praise.  I like the 18" wheels and balance of the bike as well.

I don't know about the F, but if it has a better fuel range than the C model I would go with it.

Some of the models get better fuel mileage or have bigger tanks.  That would be a big factor for me.  That is the only gripe I have about my C model.  Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

Well, maybe more chrome, and a bigger tire, and more chrome, and more chrome, and more...um...chrome.

Concerning the model, i would go with what appeals you best. Color, black is the only way to go  ;D. Concerning pipes, you can't go wrong with Vance & Hines.

Aww it is looking more and more like an 06 Black F3 from H&W Honda Yamaha. Thanks for the tips on the V&H Pipes. I think that I will buy them outright and install them myself. They cant be any harder to install then what they was on my Roadstar. Are they?

When I bought my bike, they where already installed. They don't seem that hard to install. Don't forget the jet kit.  ;D
