SPI (South Padre Island) Bike Fest - Roar By The Shore 9-12 Oct 08

Mary and I were told about the SPI (South Padre Island) Bike Fest that will be held 9-12 Oct 08  by Joe (JGomez55).  We checked out the web site,  http://spibikefest.com/ ,  and think it will be pretty nice.  We went ahead and made reservations there at the Holiday Inn Express  because we waited a little to long for reservations for the ROT and almost didn't find a room.  We are way past the tent and camping out crowd.  Wanted to get the word out about this bike fest and see how many others might be planning on going.  It would be great to have a group get together there.

We are most definately doing this ride...I'm contimplating trailering my bike and hauling all of our gear. Still have'nt made reservations but will soon.

Sounds like fun but I'll just be rolling in from Las Vegas Bike Fest. Maybe next time.

Hey Jason.  We will be trailering ours as well and Joe is saying the same thing.  In fact I'm in the process of obtaining a trailer.  I haven't decided if I want to build one or look for a used one in good shape.  Rocky was talking about how converted horse trailers work real well.  Good thing I have  three months to work on it.

Just made my reservations for these days at The Palace INN...., also pre-registration, and Mexico Fiesta ride total is $65....

Anyone else going to the Padre Island event?  Please post if you are going so we can set up a meeting time and place for TexasXriders.  We can also pass on some phone numbers for contact while we are there.

OK Gang...
Time to really start thinking about the trip to SPI... Who will be going and how??? ???

we can meet up somwhere and make this trip to SPI as a group......or we can meet up there....

I will be trailering it and will be leaving 10/9 around 6 pm from New Braunfels it takes about 5 hours to get there taking it easy... any one wants to make the trip let me know....

If we want to meet up PM me for cell # and we can communicate when and where...
