  12v Plug
 Power Commander

Kuryakyn Triple Brake Light kit (with the module
to keep them blinking at the correct speed)

These are the pics I have now, I am going to wash and wax and post some better ones this weekend if I get time.  I just had a hernia surgery so I am limited as to what I can actually lift and this thing is HEAVY but I will try to get some better pics.

yep...paid for a 07 with more miles for $5,700...then added V&H pipes...X seats...and a few other things...I would have paid you 7K cash on the spot a month ago with that mileage with all those accessories.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure if I was at the right price point.  I would be happy to take $7K and it's a great bike so definitely worth it.

Reduced to $6800 (FIRM) on this site only.  I am not offering this price anywhere else yet but would like it to go to a fellow VTX'r if possible.  I also need to sell before my payments start on the new one.

Saturday: So guy calls from my Craigslist ad and ask about the bike. One of his questions was "Does it have bags?" which clearly in all the pics you can see that it has bags (red flag #1).  Guy ask my best price, told him that it's $7300 on Craigslist but if he was standing in front of me with cash I would work with him.  So he says, "I have cash and I want to come see it tomorrow [Sunday], what's your best price?".  So, I tell him cash money tomorrow I can do $6800, no less.  So he asks, "how about noon?" to which I reply sure, no problem.

Sunday:  Go for a ride early and make sure I am home by noon.  Get a text, running a little late, text back, no problem.  Short story noon turned into 6:30PM.  Guy shows up with a friend who apparently drove him there so he could ride the bike home.  Seems serious enough, asks if friend could test ride the bike since he has experience on "metrics".  To which I reply, it is a cruiser, same as a Harley...heavy, sport bike experience is not necessary.  So, friend takes it around the block, no problems.  He said that the bike was great.  Good....let’s get down to money.

So, the guy asks, "What is your best price" so I reminded him that we agreed on $6800 over the phone.  He asks, "Would you take $6100?" to which I replied, I would take $6800.  Apparently he only had $6300 on him so he said that he had to go to an ATM and get more cash.  So, I am good with that, there are about 30 banks within 10 miles of my house.  Over 2 hours later I send a text to ask if he is ok, the reply stated that they found a bank in N Houston (miles and miles from my house) and said that they were going to go home (Dickinson) due to the fact that it's so late (past 9:30 at this point) and asked if he could bring a trailer and pick it up Monday.  Ok, no problem.

Monday: Text the guy in the AM and ask if he was still interested and coming to get the bike.  He replied, "yeppers" so I told him I had family coming and would like to try and nail down the time a little better than Sunday.  He asked 17:00 ok? I replied perfect, will be waiting.  Up until 5:00PM there were a couple of text and phone calls.  The last phone call was right at 5:00 and he said he was in North Houston in traffic heading toward my house with a friend (no trailer).  After that, nothing.  I called a few times and straight to VM, text and no response.  At 10:30 get a pick of a truck upside down in what looks like Kansas, no trees, no roads, no freeways, no buildings.....and he said he just got out of the hospital.  The said he was too sore to ride it home and asked if I would deliver...to Kemah.   There is NO place that looks like that between North Houston and my house….it was a total rouse.

Why do people do that crap?  I am tempted to take it to a dealer and just sell for whatever they will give me just to get rid of it (wife would kill me).

I hate selling things online!!

Sorry about  the rant, just pissed about that whole thing.

Other anomalies,
Red Flag #2: Phone number was from Wisconsin, said he was working local for a few months.
Red Flag #3: Stated he lived in Dickinson and next day said he lived in Kemah.
Red Flag #4: Phone number comes back to a company "DC Fabricating & Welding" in Wisconsin, which specializes in welding, automotive, boat and motorcycle repair.  He said he was a welding inspector for refineries.

I would probalby just walk away from that one.  When I'm selling and whoever doesn't have the money to finish the deal the first time I just move on.  My time is more valuable and I'm fortunate I never really have to sell anything for funds rather just for fun.

I am done with that person no matter what they bring to the table.  Doubt they will be calling back anyway.  As far as selling for money or fun, I have another bike, don't need two but would love to keep it.  I don't think my wife would let me plus I need the garage space for my cars too.
