Spyder in the Smokies
« on: July 27, 2009, 08:39:59 PM »

Posting this here to see if there might be any interest from the Houston area in going. We are going to Gatlinburg, TN in September. Leaving on Saturday the 19th and coming back on the 27th. Our first ride east and looking forward to riding the dragon. BRP and others are sponsoring a rally from the 21st to the 25th for the spyders but all are welcome. Wanted to see if any of the Xriders might want to go.

Looking forward to it. The hard part will be 2 - 500 mile days there and back. Hopefully the weather will be cooler.

I strongly encourage you change your plan to something more along the lines of 800-900 the first day so the 2nd day doesn't wear on you as much so you can be more relaxed/focused when you get there...that's how I always do long trips. FWIW.
