Golden Triangle M&G
« on: December 01, 2006, 09:57:21 AM »

OK, just trying to get something together for those of us here in the Triangle.  Just for the sake of trying to get as many of us together as possible, is a weekday evening better, or would you prefer a Saturday or Sunday ride, along with lunch/dinner in the plans.  Would like to do this in the next week roughly, so let me know what you think.

I was toying with the idea of riding to Hillister Sat or Sunday to the Homestead or the other grill on the hill at the intersection. (can't remember the name of it).

Hillister would be a nice lunch run for the H-Town contingent, as well.

Sounds like a plan to me.  You know, we never need a reason to ride, just a place to keep the tank(s) filled! O0

How does Sunday sound to everyone?  We could meet the Houston group either where 365 comes into Mid-County, or in Beaumont off I-10, Hwy. 90, or Hwy.105.  If Mid-County, say where 365 intersects West Port Arthur Road at the large Exxon, and ride into Beaumont via Hwy.69/96/287.  Just a thought....

If they are leaving from North Houston we could meet them in Kountze. 105 to 770 to 326 that would be a prettier ride than 10. Whatever floats their boats.  O0

Ok, this place comes highly recommended by TXCAJUN.(if it sux, it's his fault) I called and I would need to get back with them to make a reservation for tomorrow.
They have seafood, cajun, chicken fried steaks etc. but are famous for thier steaks cooked on an open fire grill.

They are located at the intersection of 69 and 1013 south of Woodville which is a pretty nice road to ride also. Are after lunch we could roll West on 190 to the icehouse Dar posted about.

Tree Restaurant the
7503 Highway 69 S
Woodville TX 75979
Phone: 409-283-8040

Speak up so I can make reservations. We should plan to get there about 11:30 to beat the church crowd.

Answer your cellphone!!!

I can't be online and on my cell phone at the same time. I'm on dial-up  :D  Actually my battery died.

It's only like 45 minutes from Kountze to The Tree. How long is it from you to Kountze 1/12 hours?

I'm in!!  Lookin forward to seeing you.

I'm HONGRY!! 8)

I better discuss this with the wife.  She may have me scheduled for our annual test of our marriage.  Putting up the Christmas decorations.  I did notice the neighbors buttoning down and fortifying their homes when I left. :-\
