Lake Sam Rayburn Ride 10-14-2006 (CANCELLED 10-12-06)
« on: September 27, 2006, 02:22:14 PM »

Anyone interested in joining in on a ride around Lake Sam Rayburn on Saturday (October 14, 2006)?  The plan is to depart the Houston area around 8am (meetup location"s" will be decided at a later date)

Please chime in so that I can get an idea on how many people are interested.

Sorry I won't be able to make this and am putting it off until after the Lone Star Rally.  I would like to apologize for any inconvience caused.

not sure exactly how far it is to the lake, but this will pretty much be an all day ride.  somewhere in the area of 200 plus miles plus lunch and taking it easy.

Yeah - this is a return to the area to look for woolly mammoth bones.  The tusks will be given away at the LSR!! :D

One of these days I'm going to be home to make one of these rides!  :(
I'm heading out of the country next Monday and won't be back until Oct. 25 probably.  Then I'm only home for 3 weeks before I'm off again.  :'(

Diane and I are interested in going, if it's cold or not. This was one where everybody was grabbing for more gloves.

Pete and I rode the lower half of this today and there are some really good roads that I haven't ridden before.  This will be a really good route for those that make it.  We passed by the same 6 guys on sportbikes about 4 different times if that says anything.
