new seat
« on: March 24, 2007, 05:35:52 PM »

I know that this has been asked before, but what seems to be the best seat for a 1300 Retro looking from a passengers point of view?  We are fixing to convert to a trike, and I want a seat that is comfortable for Liz.  I don't think a wing seat can be modified though!  Any info is appreciated.
Thanks,
Louis

in trike mode I would think you could put on whatever seat you wanted as long as the company knew what you were looking for. otherwise.....ultimate is like a squishy couch, mustang is like a supportive office chair.

Hey Hooter post pictures when you get it installed. I had the VTwin logo with wings on mine and some initials. I also got the driver backrest.

...ultimate is like a squishy couch

Is it the same for the drivers seat as is the passenger seat as far as softness?

Hey Jim,  how's the new seat?  did you get the vinyl low seat?  after that trip to Mesquite I've been thinkin about changing out mine as well, I'm looking at the big boy seat.

ok, so it looks like 3 so far for the ultimate X for the cushy butt.  none for the office chair, and no opinion on the corbin yet.

The Corbin seats are hard as a rock. The ones I've sat on anyway. I don't like them.

I've been riding on a Corbin for years. I love it. I won't to enter into a contest about what's good and bad for anyone, it's a matter of personal opinion. Come to the Bluebonnet Thunder Rally, sit on several bikes with all kinds of seats and make the decision for yourself.

Yeah come to the BBTIV and sit on a bunch of differnt seats!! I have a HighEnd seat on mine and is a very comfortable seat to me. Just like Hobo said: what's good and bad for anyone, it's a matter of personal opinion. So the choice is up to you!!  ;D

Hey  Hoot,
What kind of seat you got on your X now?   I am looking into getting a new solo seat like the one in your pic.
