Title: 2008 Turkey Roost State-wide Campout
Post by: RD on April 01, 2007, 05:34:13 PM: Turkey Roost Group Camp Area has been reserved for March 21st and 22nd 2008.....MAKE PLANS!!!!! This is a state wide camp out, should we call it a rally??

It's a great campout and a good time. The person that began this thread (RD our prez?) is no where to be found, but the turkey roost campout will be happening anyway. Kenny (VTreX) is the contact for this event.

The campsite area could not be better, the company excellent. It will be a great time for ya'. C'mon down! Meet some of the bad actors you'll see at the BBT.

Don't worry about the price!!This has been paid for----- the cost is a donation to the pot... It is starting to look like we could have a good group show up... 8)O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 more info. later!!!!

Question is this everybody on their own or are small groups usually formed to share chores, buying groceries, supplies, cooking, cleaning, etc
I would be coming solo and have absolutely nothing in camping equipment and supplies.
Want would I need to bring besides tent and sleeping bag?
Are their restuarants close enough to use for every meal?

Seriously, it is a do as you want type thing...you wanna' take one of the rides...take one, wanna kick back and relax instead... do it. Play Frisbee, horeshoes, volleyball, badmiton, or just knock some back and bullshit with the boys. If you want to go with a group for dinner, there usually is someone going. Want to cook your own, just do it. We could all get together and cook up some camp type dinner real easy. It has nice bathrooms for a campsite to recycle in, too! ;D The showers are ok too. ;D There are picnic tables scattered about, and the pavillion is full of em, I'd suggest bringing one of the fold up chairs to circle the campfire with. Just a few miles from Temple/belton.
