gotta cyphen it out. I used an aquarium air tube with a clunker on it. Then I ran it till it was empty. (I don't suggest pushing this thing)  Also when you pull off the tank, make sure the bars are tied down so you don't nick the tank.  And don't forget about the two little connectors that connect the speedo.

If you have a 1300 you can drain it through the petcock.

You can always flip it upside down.

I just pulled mine today. Used a $3 siphon from Harbor Freight. Worked great. Just that little bit in the line ya cant siphon out and tend to go everywhere. I just lay a towel under the connection before I pull the line off.

I've never tried it, but I imagine you could pump it out using the fuel pump; just disconnect the fuel line like you do when pulling the tank and turn the key on.......

Yes, you can BUT....

The fuel pump only runs for a short time each time you turn on the key.  So it still takes a while to empty the gas tank that way.

Also the pump burns out easily and cost a ton to replace.  Just ask Dusty!
