Some of th areas are restricted on the island unless you have the parking pass. If you plan on riding through the strand where everyone rides you will need the pass. They run for 10 bucks each.

There are several of us leaving around 10am.  I doubt you want to wait that long, but if you do you are more than welcome to ride with us.

Hey Ben, why are ya'll leaving so late on Friday??

We (me & the wife, plus the couple across the street) are leaving Wylie at 6am Friday morning.  That should allow us to avoid traffic in Dallas & Houston.

Anyone looked at taking the scenic route down Hwy 69 through Lufkin then south just before Beaumont?  Not sure how much longer this route will take, but it has to be better than 45 all the way.
