Noob, quit looking at me like that....

Brock, the M&Gs took a downward turn last summer, due to at least a couple things, IMO. The boys and girls from San Antonio fired up their own get-togethers, and were finally successful, congratulations! This pulled some of the folks out of Austin. Also, (and this may just be my opinion), the weekly M&Gs got moved to Twin Peaks, which is located under a freakin' toll road! Much like a trailer, down by the river! Yuck! As far as getting out for weekend rides, that seemed to go away, as well, with the last one I put together being a ride up to Big A's neck o' the woods for some BBQ, months ago. There were only three of us, with one, (Beaux?), riding down from Temple/Belton to ride back up there with Crewsn and me. I really don't think there has been much going on since then.

Pretty sad, but maybe 2009 will be a better year for us. I'll get Momma to get me some new foo-foo juice, cut down on that stank....  O0

I know i've been busy, real busy, the last several months. plus had the bike torn down for paint. never fear though, once the weather warms up i'll start putting rides together again. jeff is right about the bike nights as well. kinda sucks were it was moved to, lots of construction and it's b!tch to get to if you don't know your way around the area.

Hey to all our friends in Austin.  We haven't done much of anything here in SA for quite a while either.  Maybe we should set up a combined M/G between SA and Austin.

Luling City BBQ or one of the other joints there.  I seem to recall there are several.

I was thinking somewhere around Schulenberg.  This seems like a pretty central spot for all three cities to meet.  Place I looked up seems pretty good,  Oakridge Smokehouse Restaurant.  http://www.oakridge-smokehouse.com/Restaurant/Restaurant.html

This would be a pretty nice  thing to organize maybe about 4 times a year. good nice day ride and then back home for those who wish to go back home.  Not to far that if the majority bail out it's not a total washed out ride.  Hell most of ride over a hundred miles any given day we jump on the bike anyways.

Just an idea so far, but this could be possible.  O0
