Gary it is not easy to meet those requests but we try our best.

A nice article about us in the local homeowners newsletter provides a little more 411 about how I got into what we are doing here. Our article is short and on page 20.

Nice article, but they spelled "coffee" wrong in your website at the end...nothing Google can't handle, though.  Nice website, too.  I'll have to stop by next time I'm in Austin.

The "Austin Hot Rod Hot Dog" is worth it!  The BBQ sauce and relish was a delicious surprise!  Well worth the trip!

I hate to think that Austin X Riders are dead as far as any organized rides.

It's been that way for years.

San Antonio has been that way too.  :'(  I think the Houston and Dallas areas are the last active ones  :idontknow:

I was in Austin two weekends ago...not on the bike...but saw a couple of X's.  I see them all the time up here in DFW.  We will keep trying to stay organized.  I have my X business cards on my bike at all times.

People's interests change. It's been almost 10 years since the Austin group started up, and a lot of the folks either don't ride anymore, or are riding other bikes. There are three Meetup groups in Austin for riders interested in getting together, and they have pretty good attendance for the weekly rides. Most of them are RTE events, so not of much interest to me, but they are pretty active, and the main group, Austin Motorcycle Rider's Group, has over 1,000 members.

I believe "2 Wheeled Texans" is another real active group.

It is, but I don't think they have the level of rides AMRG does, in the Austin or CenTex area. Here is the link for AMRG:

I spend most of my time riding with the Hill Country Motorcycle Riders and the Alamo City Motorcycle Riders (both groups are on Meetup also).  Every time I run into an X, I do try to get them to join up on the site.
