VTX1300 Fuel level sensor??
« on: November 12, 2007, 08:40:44 PM »

I know 1300's don't come with it, so has anybody ever installed a low fuel level sensor or heard of it being done?  I know it's not really a priority item, but I think it would be nice to have.

Just curious as to whether it's possible or not.  Thanks in advance.  :)

me personally I like the ability to switch to reserve once the main is out.
This at least lets me know about how far I have left to go.
I had a 1300 and like their set up better.
I can't stand the idiot light on the 1800 it comes on with about 3 gallons gone on my bike
and I have never tested to see how far I can go after that, plus there is no switching to reserve so if anything goes wrong your SOL.

Yea, the reserve is nice, but I guess I'm just more comfortable having a gauge for everything.  ::)  Guess I'll just have to get used to the odometer method.
