Do the rear shocks need to be removed to remove the back fender?

Thanks

I loosened mine & pulled them out a 1/4 or a 1/2 inch or so. I left the fender struts there, but loose, have to be real careful slipping the fender in & out, help is good.

Well, you can wiggle them out of there without taking the shocks off, but you strongly risk scratching the part.  I always remove one shock, and one side rail, to lessen the chance of scratching, and make removal and installation easier.
