welding shop in Dallas (Rowlett) area
« on: August 26, 2010, 07:23:00 AM »

Anyone know of a good welding shop in the Dallas (Rowlett) area? I would like to make a custom sissy bar, but do not have the right equipment to do so. Should be pretty simple...nothing crazy. Thanks for your help.

The design is in my head...I guess I should draw it out.

Roughly 24" tall...comes to a point...top 3 or 4 inches angled back about 20 degrees..."X" between the two rods.

I have a welder/ cutting tools if you want to do it yourself. There's a place behind the QT that sells steel I have not bought any metal in a long time
so not sure what there prices would be. There is also a place in Garland that you can buy scrap stuff pretty cheap.

Thanks Lance! It still may be a couple of weeks off, but I'll let you know. I may need your assistance as well, if that's on the table.  :notworthy:  :c

Yes I do. I fixed the dent in my tank and then painted my tins, so I haven't much time to think about the sissy bar yet. I'm still working on my fairing (which is the last piece) and then I'll be able to move on. Are your services still available?
