All I know right now is that untill all the crap started and the control freaks came out of no where there was alot of rides being posted and other events planned and now it has all but gone away on the North/Northeast section. We are all adults and we don't need that much control. Once again the posting in question was NOT the bashing and arguments that some thought it was.

No rides being posted isn't the fault of anyone except those who aren't posting them anymore.

Ok I can see that point.....Now how do we get everyone back on the right track, maintain the quality of the posts with out making them feel like big brother is hovering over them. Maybe ,given time all will return to normal, or something close.
Above all, let's ride.

Since RD and Tapper don't hang around much anymore, I'm the only big brother on the board and I've done my best not to give off the impression that I'll be striking down any post I don't like.  It's not until very recently that I voiced other members concerns.  I didn't remove one signature or avatar after I made this original post.  The members changed it themselves and I appreciated it as did other members.

As far as anyone being afraid of posting rides, I can't see why that would be.  There is still plenty of joking going on the board and rides being posted.  Some weeks are slower than others and maybe a slow week just happen to come up after what's happened.  The only post I deleted was one that was requested by the original poster.  I didn't feel it had to be removed, but he stepped up and volunteered to have it axe'd.

As long as people use common sense, there is no reason to be afraid to post.  It's as simple as that.

Thanks for the "rules" setting on the board.  I am a fairly new rider (bought my X in Aug, my first bike!), and I greatly appreciate the info and education (and even got free saddlebags from an ex-er!) I have received here.  But I don't like logging on and wanting to show my wife something, and having to worry about porn (soft or hard), nor do I care to see it for myself.  If somebody feels the need to post those things, create a porn-posting board if you feel the need.  Thanks for patrolling, or auditing, or whatever you call it, those things that aren't related to riding (and porn isn't required to enjoy the road or the Texas X Riders' board).  I love visiting the board when I can, just to chill or to learn or to see who might be needing something.  Keep up the good work j1mmyj4m and BOD!

BTW, check out koyoteranch.com for frequent rides - a great ride for a great cause coming up in October, to support Medina Children's Home.

Bottom line is Brock is the administrator of the board. He is the master babysitter for the man that pays the bills for you to be able to post period! Hence there will always be a big brother unless you are the owner of the board! Just like in life, you will be policed for you actions here too. No one has changed there position on posting rides. I agree and lets ride and put this to rest.
