Just talked to Rex and he said they were going to try taking the tube out and see how that works. they should know later tonight. Rex will post an update later tonight.

Well they took him off the ventilator tonight at 8:30pm.  He is holding his own for now. THANK GOD!!
They told us he may have to go back on the ventilator but for now he is breathing on his own.  The next 48 hours will tell us. 
Here is a picture of him without the ventilator.

Yes he does have a lot of hair.. :o  I know a lot of the body hair will start coming off once we start bathing him.

My mom use to call me a Monkey now I know why.... :D ;D

Michelle just got off the phone with Hermann.  He is doing well and he is still off the Ventilator.  THANKS GOD!

Not sure if the hotel that Marigold is putting us in has internet but I will be taking my laptop just in case to keep yall updated.  If not I will call Jason, Sheri, or Marigold with updates so they can post them.

Well everyone we just came back to the hotel for the night.  Ryan is doing good.  They started feeding him today at noon for the 1st time.  He is taking it very well they fed him at noon,3,6,9,and tried at midnight.  The problem at the midnight feeding was they had to redo his IV and that really stressed him out.  They are having a lot of problems with his IVs going bad.  Tonight was the 4th one they have had to put in.  If this one goes they may have to put it in his head... :o :'(  Other than that he is doing great.

Sorry I didn't post more but I am dead tired.  I will try to get more up tomorrow.

Sounds like things are really going great!!!! I'm so happy for you guys! I'll be in the NICU on Friday night, I'll look for you to say hi if you're around (I'll be there from 7P-7A), or at least peak at baby Ryan and whisper "get wells" at him.  ;)  I'm still new to Hermann (3 months), but let me know if there's something you need and I can try to find it out, or help or whatever. I haven't posted much but you guys have been in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad he's doing so much better.
