Lone Star Rally for 2009
« on: December 29, 2008, 01:55:33 PM »

I haven't seen yet if the rally will be held in Galveston for 2009.  If so, I'll change the forum name, but until then I'll just leave it Lone Star.

Why would they move it, Brock...I thought it was nice, all things considered?!

Originally, Galveston said 2008 was their last year.  So right now I assume it's up in the air.

I like Galveston, don't get me wrong, but it might be nice to ride somewhere else.  Will definetly decide once a city is picked, how cool or not it will be, but if it stays @ Galveston, hell yeah! :)

I would hope it will still be in Galveston but can understand the frustration in dealing with the city. Its hard to figure out where it might be held Galveston was so easy to get to for many  thousands of people but who knows how long it will take Galveston to completly come back to 100% of what it was before if ever. The  bigger question mark is where I will be its looking more and more like I will not be in Texas after May of this year but it looks like just next door in New Mexico at the new uranium enrichment facilities near Hobbs but can always make time for the Lonestar......sure as hell bea nice ride lol

i would rather go some where like New Mexico...  Galveston was lame riding wise...  Anyone can get drunk just about anywhere... so If is New Mexico i agree with Larry_51  it will be a nice ride.

We had a job out at Hobbs for about 2 years for Enterprise.  There is absolutley nothing out there.  I hope you'll be living in a larger town. ;)

Well, I only saw pictures of the jobsite and surrounding areas.  I also heard from those living by the jobsite.  From what I saw and heard, there wasn't much by it, but it's not to say that it's not good around it.

Bummer about the possibility of the rally not being in Galveston. I was looking forward to going in the coming years since my sister lives in League City now.
