Time: 12:00 noon for lunch
So Guys, please poll in so we can get a good head count on those attending & PLEASE send me a pm so I can go making an accurate list. Weather should be a lot warmer than last time and even then we had a real good turn out.
Here are the details as follows:
Kloesel's is large enough to accomodate us all, with concrete parking and Saturday lunch special
Lunch special: "We also serve a plate lunch special on Saturday. It is choice of one of three meats (chicken fried steak, fried chicken, and one other selection not chosen yet) three veggies and a dessert. Cost is $6.99/person."
Also, we are near Shiner TX, so............for those who want to ride there, don't forget 100th anniversary of brewing for Shiner.

Only about 30 people have polled in so far. tun out is getting better. As unaccurate as accuweather is on forecasting, I went ahead and check the weather for that weekend and looks to be real nice. High of 78 and sunshine with some clouds. SO..........as long as it sticks looks like a good day to be riding. Again, if you haven't polled in, please do so up above.

Saturday is looking kinda iffy now weather wise. :-\
-
Just checked the forecast and looks like a high of 78, breezy with intervals of clouds, but no rain. We will see though once it gets closer. Rain in the forecast for Sunday with thunderstroms. lets hope this doesn't plan to move a day earlier. :violin: :violin: :violin:

I just joined the site yesterday, and the polls have closed to vote, but I'm pretty sure I'll make it. If all goes as planned, I will be coming with my Brother, teXan, and his wife. So that's 3 more plates and 3 more bikes.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Is there anyone that will be there that has a Ultimate X seat, Low Rider, that I could plant my butt on for a minute or so? I'm thinking that's the seat that I will be most comfortable with, but really want to get a good feel for it before I drop the dead presidents on it.
Looking forward to the ride, the lunch, the bikes, and meeting everyone there.
I can already tell that I am among very good people here.
Talk to everyone soon,
Thumper
-
Please Re-poll. Not sure why, but must have been a mistake on my part to close polling on the third.
So Everyone who reads this please poll in again, as I'm sure a few have tried with no success. RESETTING THE POLLS TONIGHT.
THANKS A LOT GUYS. :bikerider: :bikerider:
http://www.texasxriders.com/index.php?topic=10868.0 (http://www.texasxriders.com/index.php?topic=10868.0) Please go here to re-poll. thanks

Okay, just checked the weather and shows a 30% chance of rain out in the Houston area for now. Depending on how bad that 30 percent is, we may reschedule for another weekend. I will watch the weather everyday and make that decision. Thanks Guys
-
70% chance of not raining.
-
70% chance of not raining.
+ 1
I will ride any day that says 30% chance of rain....
besides what does the weather man know any way!!!!

So DP/Houston gang...what are the plans for riding out to Moulton this Saturday? Unfortunately from the SW part of town there are just not any exciting roads going that direction. Anyone got some suggestions for meet up time and place? Would be kind of cool to have a big procession coming from the east.
-
Lucky I know you can get pretty creative with them directions - DAR-Silver Surfer took us back last time and it was a really good ride. ;)
Would be the long route for you folks though, that's OK with me though :t
-
i don't know if I want to ride with the DP hooligans... :couch:
-
Have you thought that maybe they don't want to ride with you? :pot: :no no:

Andrew, Wayne and Connie made it home safe and sound...altho I am a little numb. We had to get back home asap for another event so we went straight east on I-10 for 100+ miles at 80-85mph...not my idea of an enjoyable ride. But totally enjoyed meeting up with everyone again. Matap, you have done an outstanding job putting these Tri-City M&Gs together. Thank you very much.
-
I got home safe as well, good to see everyone, Jeff you still owe me a beer... :stickpoke:
-
Good to see everyone and meet new Xriders. Pictures will be coming shortly the ride...I RAN OUT OF GAS. :t
Jeff was kind enough to make a run & return.
-
Stormy and I got home safe and sound. The weather could have been better but the people and location was great.
PS: RT532 between Moulton and Gonzales is a nice little road if your ever in that area.
-
Home now :bikerider: enjoyed the ride up and back, for some reason I have a hard time getting my directions to work on the way home.
Bike just stopped on the way home put it on reserve and made it to next town but still had plenty of gas. ??? I am figuring I must have been doing some flashy shifting and turn off my gas. I not the flashy shifting the dancing - man I get going when that cajun music get going. ;D

That's why I love the 1800...3K of RPM's is the optimum performance, efficiency number. It was nice seeing some old friends and hopefully making some new ones. :c :bikerider: :agree:
-
Martha and I made it home OK... a bit numb as well.., for some reason it just felt it was getting cooler.....
It was a pleasure seeing some of you once again and of course meeting new faces... Till we meet again... :c
Paul you have done outstanding getting things going on these Tri city meet and greets..., cant wait for the Quad City meet and greet....
Hope the riders we passed up on I-10 made it OK..., appears it was something to do with fuel issues...
P.S.
Candy, I cant get Martha to stay quite about the bike now......... :banghead:
Be Safe ya'll... Let's do it again..... :t

Was definitely a good day! One of these days we will need to do a meet and greet where we play musical chairs. :t Like Gumbo has said to me, we travel all this way to meet up, then we sit in our own local little groups. :ohwow: Anyway, as everyone else has said, good to meet new faces, good to see old faces, and good to see regular faces.
PS And Martha, Kandie told me what she was telling you. Don't listen too much about not listening to the husband part! He is just concerned about you learning what you need to know to keep you safe! I only say this because I do not feel the riding classes do this! When I took mine, there were two people that passed that had no business getting on a bike!
-
I'm really glad everyone had a good time. It's definetly nice to meet up with new people especially right before the BBT. I will start working on the next one and try to find a place to include the Dallas Peeps. Glad everyone made home safe. The most important part about riding, is riding to ride another day. (or something like that, you get the idea.) :bikerider:

Yep, we made it home. Just another one of those same old stories, a gallant knight on a Yamaha, taking care of a brokedick VTX.... ^-^ O0
Pictures to follow...
-
We made it home as well. It was good seeing some other VTX's finally. Not that there is anything wrong with goldwing events :t I hope we can meet up again sometime.

Had a great time folks. Rode up with the Lower 40 group. Rode back with Gumbo's "Fukawee" group. With Gumbo leading we were always saying "Where the fu*# we?" ??? ::) :-\ :cuss: ;D ;D ;D :stickpoke:
Thank you to both groups for letting me tag along. Gumbo, Kandi, David, et al - Sorry I had to leave y'all but the need was more than speed! By the way, I didn't know that Bluebonnets caused folks to lose their minds. Sure were a lot of em all over the road, on the shoulders, in the ditches....
Thanks a ton!!!  :notworthy:
-
I bummed I missed another opportunity to meet you folks. Just couldn't get over there for reasons stated in another thread.
I'm going to continue to frequent this site and make rides although I'll no longer be riding an X. The people that ride X's are great people and I like hanging with 'em. ;D
See ya at BBT!

I would just go ahead and pick one up! As I was explaining to Brock yesterday, It's always easier to beg for forgiveness, than it is to ask, for permission! :couch: And that was about a new bike. :bikerider: Heck a little ole GPS unit, she probably won't be mad no longer than a week or two. :ohwow: After that all will be good! :c
Good Luck! >:D
-

-
Hey Xcaliber you can follow me to the BBT if your not in a big rush to get there. ;D I plan on not even bringing a map or directions. I plan on stopping at each ice house I come on to and asking directions to the next ice house in the general direction of Fredricksburg. :ohwow: :c :c
Come on it will be fun :bikerider:
-
