Guess I will have to pay for an RV spot since I don't see any options for those of us who don't have RV's.   $23 a night is a little expensive for a tent camper.  Cheaper for me to commute back and forth.

Tent rates are way cheaper.  They don't have it posted on their website.  You will need to call, but they do have spots for tent camping.

Just checked my notes but it's $15.00 per night

But not near as much fun.  The tent sites are down by the river. They have nice restrooms and showers. I have tented it there before. You don't want to commute.

We just made our RV reservation.

Linda Randall at Pioneer River Resort (866)371-3751 requested WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR RV RESERVATION, MAKE SURE AND MENTION TX X RIDERS so we can get grouped close together.  Unfortunately the tent campers are in another area.

The distance between the tent camping and the RV area is a short walk. I've attached an aerial view of Pioneer RV Park.

I've also got the aerial view of the park and of the south end of Bandera showing the park's proximity to local saloons and restaurants, etc here:
http://www.westcherry.com/vtx/2014/pioneer.htm

As you can see, once the bike is parked it's possible to walk into to town for most anything you need.

Looks a little funky, but inside is not bad, don't recall the cost. It has been years since I was last there.

If your talking about the cabins across the street, They might look funky outside but are quite OK inside. Not the Hilton but good inside.
