Nearby Rides

I am new to the motorcycle and VTX community. I live in the Keller North Fort Worth area. What are the best local rides that you recommend? Weather is nice and I want to ride. Thanks for your suggestions.

Howdy Powerslave...I do not live in the DFW area so I can't advise you on roads in that area.  There are several people who do live in that area and hopefully they will pipe up and help you out.  No matter what just get out there and ride and get real comfy with your bike...you will start discovering places and roads that others don't know of.  Enjoy.

There is a cool "North Texas Hill Country" ride that we do occasionally.  From Justin to Krum, up and around to Saint Jo and Meunster and back down.
I will get the info and PM it to you..

i don't ride an X anymore but i'm always up for an afternoon of cruising around
and i'm pretty close to you (weatherford border about 20 minutes away)

Shoot me a pm about that ride also, I am working nights now but would like to ride that route during the week when I am off. (Mon, Tues, and Wed)

From Keller:

377 North to 114
114 West to 156
156 North to Krum
1173 West
1173 turns North
West on 455 to Forestburg
North on 677 to St Jo
82 East to Gainsville
I-35 South

All good paved roads.  Stop in Muenster for some German food.

Welcome to the board. I am also new to everything. Would love to go on a ride up in this area. I'm in Garland and work in Irving. Like Xwrecker, I also work nights and have the same days off as his! It would be good to get some meets and rides going up here in DFW area!

done and done chad - OHHH YEAA!!

I prefer rides down in the HICO area - little ways to ride but its nice and scenic. The mexcian restaurant in good and the Koffee Kup is good as well.

I also work nights and have weekdays off. We need to organize a weekday ride. Nothing better than a pack of VTX going down the road.
