Got Hit Today

Well It was a beautiful day, sun was out, temp was perfect, and I rode my bike to work for great riding weather. Well until a Honda accord decided to sideswiped me on 35E and off course it was a woman on her cell did not see me right next to her. She was yakking away and turned her head towards me so I thought she saw me but all of a sudden she just turned her car into my lane.
My hand got caught between my bike and her car so I will be getting x-rays tomorrow. And there was paint transfer on my pipes. I called the insurance company but their claims adjuster has not called back yet. So now I wait to see when they can get the appraisal done.  >:( >:( >:(

Dang son.  That could have been a lot worse!  Glad it wasn't.  Did you chew her Cranberries out for being a dumbass?

Yeah, AMEN to that.  I had a woman do the same thing to me on 35e on Monday, but the HOV was open so I just moved over.  But she didn't even slow down taking my lane while I blasted her with my Stebel.   :o  There outta be a law....

Good riding staying upright Rod.  I'm guessing they couldn't drive a pin up your a$$ about that time.  Glad you're still with us and hope damage to the bike wasn't too bad.

The profanity filter here tickles me.  I really had no idea what Brad was talking about "cranberries" until I tried to use the "a" word myself.  Still chuckling.  I reckon it keeps it civilized and yo-yo's like me with a colorful vocabulary don't get inappropriate.

It is so damn irritating how people do not take responsiblity for themselves while behind the wheel.  I am so sorry to hear about your hand, hopefully the x-rays will reflect minor damage.

That's when you unscrew one of your mirrors if you don't have something else already, and sacrifice it towards cager education of proper bike/cage interaction techniques!
