The rally is for a good cause.  It ain't going to be the best rally on the planet but you will have fun.  All proceeds go to help burned children.  "Boo" Chaler is a very, very special person.

Shreveport is about 30 miles from Jefferson.  It can get crowed on weekends at hotels so make your room reservations soon.  If anyone wants to split a room, preferably in Shreveport - I'm in.

Pete
Hiya Pete, I'd like to hook up with ya for the ride from here and stay there too.

Damn Pete   O0 O0 ;D
I think I' ll stop here, wrong place to post

Boo Rally Split-a-Room

I have reserved a 2 bedroom suite in Shreveport for Friday night, Oct 20, 2006.  Beds, couch and floor space available.  Roll-a-way also available.  Room is $179 plus tax and any add on for roll-away, extra folks, ect

Holiday Inn
Shreveport Financial Plaza
5555 Financial Plaza
Shreveport, LA 71129
318-688-3000

On Saturday, the plan would be to ride up LA 169 to Hwy 1 to Vivian, then over to Jefferson, TX via LA 2 which turns in to FM 49 in Texas.  This is a pretty good ride and would take a little more than an hour to make.

Shreveport has 6 casinos.  All have great food.  The Shreveport side has a river-walk that has night clubs and other types of stuff.  The Horseshoe, across the river in Bossier City, has a great steak but getting in is sometimes difficult.  The Superior Grill on Line Ave is the best TexMex you ever ate.  Also a hot, happening place for those that like to party.

Please let me know if you are interested by Tuesday, Oct 17.  Please PM me if you are committing to share the room.  If there are not enough sign-ups, I will drop the suite and go with a smaller & cheaper room.  I just don't want to "eat" a $200 charge.

Pete

How about Mineola? Not sure yet whether I'm leaving Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, kinda depends on who's going from the Dallas area.

Hey Muff,  I'm gonna make this one for sure. Not for sure if Karan is going or not. She might be going to Shreveport to go gambling with my mom. (They have the same birthdays and usually take a women-only trip)

Friday nite or Sat. morning early is good for me. Let us know what the general plan is and I'm there. Maybe my son too. He finally got his X on the road.
